Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Reading £45,000 - £48,000 An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-respected and growing building services provider. Based on a prominent retail park in Reading, this is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM. As part of a large and collaborative on-site maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, emergency response, and remedial works across the site. Key Responsibilities Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance Maintenance and repair of Air Handling Units (AHUs) Fan Coil Units (FCUs) Pumps (including Bearings and Mechanical Seals) Water Treatmnt Systems (Tap Tests, Dosing, Cooling Tower Checks, etc.) Chilled Water Systems Plumbing systems Sprinkler systems Pressurisation Units Generators Basic Building Management System (BMS) Operation Requirements Mechanically qualified to City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ, or equivalent Apprentice-trained (desirable) Previous experience in Building Services Maintenance Strong client-facing skills and professional attitude Package Salary : £45,000 - £48,000 Working hours : Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm 25 days annual leave Pension scheme Abundant overtime available Comprehensive training provided Excellent internal progression opportunities
