eHealth Operations are responsible for the overall IT and Telecommunication service delivery to NHSGGC including the delivery of the underpinning technical infrastructure and applications to support the health and corporate directorates across NHSGGC to agreed KPI’s and SLA’s. In addition, Information security and compliance.
The Technical Services Manager post involves the following key responsibilities :
We are looking for a highly experienced eHealth Manager with evidential experience of working at a strategic level on eHealth services to fulfil this demanding role. You will work as an integral part of the wider eHealth Senior Management team at a senior level, providing comprehensive customer focused operational eHealth services to all NHSGGC staff and services.
NHSGGC has a Digital Delivery plan and working with colleagues across eHealth and NHSGGC is a key requirement of this post.
The ability to engage with and influence senior managers and clinicians across NHSS will be key to the success of this role. Significant experience of Operational support for digital services and a strong understanding of public sector financial management are preferable. You will also have extensive experience in the development of KPIs and Operational Level Agreements or Service Level Agreements.
You will be educated to a Degree Level, preferably at a Masters Level, or with equivalent professional experience and in ITIL (Professional Best Practice Qualifications used in Technology Services). Managerial competencies including excellent team-working and communication skills, written as well as verbal, leadership and organisational skills, commercial awareness, customer focus, analytical and planning skills are essential in this role.
Excellent customer relationship, service provision, service development, supplier management and programme management skills are critical to success in a role that will also help deliver complex eHealth projects and programmes across multiple services areas including HSCPs, Corporate and Facilities services and to other NHS Scotland Boards.
You will be skilled in analytical reviews and techniques as will be able to demonstrate the confident presentation of reports and the use of Information Technology you have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and NHS applications. You will ideally have experience and knowledge of health-related data.
This is a full-time permanent post worked between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday.
