Role Overview

  • Contract : Full time
  • Location : Dubai or London, Hybrid
  • Reporting : Head of Commodities Trading

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Logistics Coordinator to join our

growing team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of goods from

contract execution through to final delivery, while supporting the trading team with all logistics related

matters.

Your key responsibilities will include :

  • Coordinate end-to-end logistics for physical commodity trades, from contract confirmation to delivery
  • Liaise with internal teams (trading, finance, risk) and external parties (suppliers, customers, freight forwarders, shipping agents, warehouse providers)
  • Manage transport bookings, including sea, rail, road, or air freight, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods
  • Oversee and manage the preparation and verification of all relevant shipping and customs documentation, including bills of lading, certificates of origin, invoices and packing lists
  • Track and monitor shipments, proactively resolving any delays or issues
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant import / export regulations, incoterms, and trade finance processes
  • Maintain accurate records of all logistics activity related to contracts and ensure data integrity across internal systems
  • Work closely with the finance department to support settlement, invoicing, and reconciliation processes
  • Support continuous improvement of logistics processes and systems to optimise efficiency and reduce operational risk
  • We’re looking for someone with :

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a
  • related field.

  • Previous experience in logistics or operations within commodities trading or a related sector
  • e.g. shipping, freight forwarding, industrial goods).

  • Strong understanding of international trade documentation, incoterms, and global shipping
  • practices.

  • Familiarity with commodity trading contracts and the flow of goods
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple
  • transactions simultaneously

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with trading / logistics systems is a plus
  • Ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly to shifting priorities
