Maintenance Technician Day Shift

37.5 hours per week

With some call out expectation and shift work if required

Provide maintenance support to the company. Carry out maintenance work requests, responding to breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance of equipment.

Duties include but are not limited to :

Respond to maintenance work requests within the agreed SLA and escalate any urgent matters to the Production Manager.
Respond to breakdowns and carry out mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance on equipment.
Assist in the installation of new equipment or movement of existing equipment where necessary.
Ensure all equipment and maintenance activity complies to the appropriate Health & Safety and legal compliance.
Ensure all machinery and equipment is maintained to the appropriate standard and identify areas of improvement.
Ensure the correct maintenance parts are available and replenish stock when necessary (within the Company’s purchasing procedure).
Provide support on the building facilities utilities : electrical and hydraulic systems, air conditioning, camera and security systems and HVAC to ensure appropriate functionality.
Maintain and update maintenance records where required.
Work with and mentor the Engineering Assistant.
Perform any other duties as directed by the Production Manager.

Skills and Experience :

To be a time-served, multi-skilled maintenance technician or engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience.

Automation knowledge desirable

Can work within and understand a quality control framework which includes BRC and ISO standard requirements.

Knowledge of print presses would be an advantage but not essential.

Positive attitude, hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated.

Independent working and working as part of a team.
