Site Manager Required – Retail Refurbishment Project, Edinburgh

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a high-profile strip-out and façade refurbishment project in Edinburgh . The project involves the strip-out of 5 retail units along with façade works including the removal of existing signage, installation of new steels, and cladding.

Location : Edinburgh

Start Date : 28th July

Duration : 18 weeks

Out of Hours Work : Required due to 3 units remaining live during works

Out of Hours Rate : Negotiable

Higher Rates : Available for non-local candidates

Key Responsibilities :

Overseeing site activities including strip-out, structural works, and façade improvements

Coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring compliance with programme and quality standards

Managing health & safety, especially during out-of-hours operations

Liaising with clients and managing communications

Reading and interpreting construction drawings

Handling site documentation and drawing control

Essential Qualifications :

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

First Aid at Work

IPAF

PASMA

Required Experience :

Strip-out and demolition works

Structural steel and groundworks

Interpreting and printing construction drawings

Effective communication (email and client-facing)

Coordinating multiple trades / subcontractors
