RSK Group is searching for a Senior or Principal Environmental Manager with a construction-based background to spearhead a flagship CCS project in North Wales —a critical part of our national renewable energy transformation strategy.

The Role :
We’re looking for a driven professional with a construction or infrastructure background who is :
- Comfortable being on-site weekly , managing dynamic project environments.
- Managing and building successful client and stakeholder relationships.
- Capable of leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating across sectors.
- Eager to develop project management expertise , with support to upskill rapidly in this area.
Geographic Scope :
You’ll be based in the North West, covering a project patch that includes Lancashire, Cheshire, Flintshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire , and West Yorkshire . While you won’t be working across all these regions at once, these are potential locations for future projects.
Key Responsibilities :
Carbon Capture Leadership : Take the reins on a major CCS project in North Wales—driving technical delivery, compliance, and innovation in one of the UK’s most exciting low-carbon initiatives.Renewables Transformation : Contribute to a portfolio of renewable and sustainable energy projects across the UK.Client Management : Maintain and develop strong client relationships, ensuring RSK is the trusted partner of choice.Team Leadership : Mentor junior staff, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure delivery excellence.Tender & Proposal Oversight : Lead strategic bids and tenders, working across business units to secure future opportunities.What You Bring :
Chartered (or working toward chartered) status with robust experience in environmental or infrastructure consultancy.Solid technical foundation in environmental policy, legislation, and SHEQ practices.Confidence in project and financial management with a track record of profitability and stakeholder satisfaction.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.Why Join RSK?
