Bishopbriggs and Chryston Vet Centre are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, welcoming, and supportive team. This is a full-time, fixed-term maternity cover role for 12 months (part-time applications will also be considered).
Develop Your Skills
In this role, you'll be involved in a wide range of general practice duties. You will assist with theatre and surgical procedures, carry out radiography and dental x-rays, and provide general nursing care. You will also be responsible for nurse consultations, managing the dispensary, and handling some administrative tasks.

We are a well-equipped, two-site practice that offers comprehensive veterinary care. Our facilities include theatre and radiography, dental x-ray, ultrasound, in-house blood machines, and multiparameter monitoring. We also have separate dog and cat wards to ensure the best care for each patient. Our Bishopbriggs branch is easily accessible by road, bus, and rail, offering convenient access to Glasgow city centre.
A Truly Supportive Team
Our dedicated team consists of 14 vets, 8 nurses, 1 ACA, and 7 support staff. We work together in a collaborative and supportive environment, where every team member feels valued and appreciated.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. You'll follow a flexible rota with working hours between 8 : 30 AM and 7 : 00 PM. The role includes a 1 in 6 Saturday rota, with shifts from 9 : 00 AM to 1 : 00 PM. There are no out-of-hours duties, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance and enjoy your time outside of work.
