Job Description :

Thorpe CofE Primary School seeks an experienced Learning Support Assistant to support a child with SEND. The role involves working Monday to Friday from 8.40am to 12.15pm during term time, starting 1st September 2025.

Under the supervision of the class teacher and SENCO, core responsibilities include :

  • Supporting in Year 1
  • Following instructions and clarifying tasks
  • Communicating effectively with pupils
  • Motivating pupils to learn
  • Organising the learning environment

Key accountabilities include :

  • Assisting in daily learning activities
  • Reporting on pupil progress
  • Maintaining a conducive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Upholding confidentiality and school policies
  • The successful candidate may be asked to undertake additional tasks as required by the class teacher.
