We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Tax Manager to join our dynamic Tax team. In this pivotal role, you’ll take full ownership of the Group’s Direct Tax compliance and reporting , ensuring we meet all statutory obligations while creating sustainable value across the business.

As a key member of the tax leadership team, you’ll play a strategic role in shaping our tax strategy, managing risk, and supporting commercial initiatives with expert tax advice.

To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What you’ll do

Your key accountabilities will include

Lead and develop a team of two, overseeing all aspects of Direct Tax compliance and reporting. Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tax returns and year-end external reporting.

Provide expert tax advice to business units on commercial initiatives and international operations. Supporting the Group Head of Tax in managing tax strategy, risk, and team performance.

Drive the tax design and implementation of the S4 Hana system, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Act as the subject matter expert on Direct Tax, keeping the business informed of relevant developments.

Assist with tax forecasting, budgeting, and payment calculations.

Champion continuous improvement in tax processes and systems. Prepare board-level recommendations on tax issues and opportunities.

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include

Professional Qualifications : ACA, CTA, or ACCA qualified.

Experience : Strong UK tax knowledge, especially in compliance and consolidated reporting for listed groups.

Technical Skills : Solid accounting and tax provisioning knowledge; Proficiency in Excel and financial modelling; Familiarity with deferred tax principles and property tax considerations.

Communication : Able to present complex tax matters clearly and persuasively to stakeholders.

Systems Knowledge : Experience with tax and financial system setup is a plus (e.g., S4 Hana).
