Contract type : 40 hours per week- Including weekends
Rate : £12.21 per hour
Are you an enthusiastic people person who loves to bring the fun? As an Activities Coordinator, you’ll organise and lead meaningful and entertaining activities for the people we support. You’ll play a key role in empowering them to live fulfilled and happy lives.

About the role
Our Activities Coordinators organise creative and fun activities for the people we support.
No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include :
organising individual activity plans based on people’s unique goals and interests
fostering community spirit through group activities
supporting people to maintain their current, and take up new, hobbies, interests and educational opportunities
assisting people to become more involved in their local community
celebrating national awareness days, holidays and individual / collective achievements
promoting choice, dignity and independence.

Ted spent many happy years travelling with his wife in their caravan, so when the chance came to reconnect with those memories, we were over the moon to support him
We accompanied Ted's visit to a nearby caravan site, where he met up with his family and, of course, Rupert the caravan!

Dearnevale is bursting with Pride!
The team at Dearnevale threw a colourful Pride Month garden party - and what a celebration it was!
Residents, families and friends came together for an afternoon filled with fun competitions, live music from a fantastic local singer, and lots of dancing
One resident shared : “This is the first time I’ve felt fully accepted and supported, not just around my disability, but in being my authentic self.
Celebrating Pride at Dearnevale has been an amazing experience. I’ve loved learning about the meaning and being part of the celebrations. I played a big role in planning the event, so it’s great to see everything come together.”

Adswood Lodge is a short drive from junction 1 of the M60 and other major roads including Wellington Road S and Buxton Road.
There's limited parking at the front of the building. The main car park is accessed via Lorne Grove.
To get to the car park from the home, head west on Adswood Lane West towards Warren Road.
Turn right onto Shaw Road and then right onto Lorne Grove.
The car park is at the end of the street.

The home is a short walk from several bus stops.
Shaw Road South bus stop (stop ID : MANJATJT), which is accessed by bus 313.
Range Road bus stop (stop ID : MANJATJP), which is accessed by bus 374.
Bramhall Lane (Stop B) bus stop (stop ID : MANJMATG), which is accessed by buses 192, 199 skyline and 385.
There are two train stations in the local area.
