Job description

Do you like a dynamic work environment? And do you have good communication skills? Then you are the Export / Import Coordinator we are looking for!

The Export / Import Coordinator will be responsible for managing customs documentation, submitting customs declarations, providing customs documents to operations and customers, and ensuring clearances are with operations in good time on a daily basis. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance of government policies, international customs laws and processes.

The role is office based from 09 : 00 to 17 : 30.

What are you going to do?

Processing and submitting customs declarations for road freight shipments;
Processing and submitting NCTS Transit declarations for road freight shipments;
Processing and submitting S & S declarations for road freight shipments;
Ensure accuracy of commercial and sales invoices in accordance with physical shipments : quantities, value of goods, Preferential duty and country of origin;
Managing and maintaining all other documentation;
Verifying tariff classifications and duty rates;
Verifying CPC codes for types of shipments to be declared;
Processing and generating sales invoices;
Staying updated on changes in import / export regulations;
Completing customs amendments (C2001 and C285);
Dealing with queries from IBF (Inland Border Facility);
Communicating with overseas colleagues;
Communicating with third party agents and carriers.

2 years + experience in Customs for Export / Import;

Strong knowledge of export / import procedures and regulations;

High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy;

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;

Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities;

Excellent PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word);

Ideally preferred, experience using Cargowise customs software system;

Experience with HMRC departments : IPAFFS, Border Force, NCTS etc.
