Reports to : Senior Digital Design Manager
Objective of the role :
Based in our Cambridge office, you will collaborate with colleagues in IC Design and Product Definition teams to develop solutions for the digital components of mixed signal products. This includes ensuring test and manufacturing requirements are met and developing behavioral models to accelerate simulation or support system emulation.
Education and work experience :
- MSc / MEng or PhD in Electronics Engineering or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in digital IC design using standard cell libraries.
As a Digital Designer, you should :
Possess in-depth knowledge of digital design best practices.Be experienced with fully synthesised digital design flows, RTL, and logic synthesis.Be proficient in SystemVerilog and scripting languages like TCL.Understand constraints and the use of automatic place-and-route flows for physical design.Be aware of production test importance and have experience with design techniques like scan to maximize test coverage.Have experience in optimizing digital power consumption.Be capable of debugging digital functions using suitable test equipment, including mixed-signal oscilloscopes.Produce accurate and comprehensive documentation.Main Responsibilities :
Develop functional digital blocks and contribute to mixed signal ASICs from concept to production.Support feasibility studies, product architecture, and digital block design for FPGA emulation.Complete RTL design in SystemVerilog to meet specifications.Create block-level test benches for verification.Develop behavioral models and top-level test benches for system verification and production testing.Perform digital synthesis with physical constraints to meet PPA targets.Design and implement DFT architecture, including scan insertion and ATPG.Define digital layout floorplan, oversee place-and-route, and ensure timing closure.Generate design documentation and participate in reviews.Contribute to verification, validation, and silicon evaluation activities.Assist in process and methodology improvements.What We Offer : Health & Wellbeing
