MEM Northampton is recruiting a Manufacturing Operative - Fabrication Dep- Afternoon Shifts to join our team(s) based in Northampton, firm manufacturing radiators for the power generation industry. Due to sustained growth and increased product demand, we are looking to recruit team players with a positive can-do attitude. Practical, hands on, good communication skills, with a willingness to work flexibly and attention to good housekeeping. Manufacturing background desirable but not essential

Responsible for / Duties (full training will be given) :

• Working in a manual environment, the role is to cut and drill
• Use of drills / saws
• Checking quality of parts before and after process
• Accuracy in measuring parts after cutting and drilling
• Checking all components against drawings and overall appearance of goods
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Previous use of metal working equipment desirable but not essential
• PPE supplied; safety glasses, ear protection, overalls, gloves, safety boots (and visors where relevant)
