Senior Finance Manager

Search are supporting the recruitment of a Senior Finance Manager to lead our client's Finance function in Edinburgh on a part-time basis (3 days) with hybrid working. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a pivotal leadership role offering the chance to shape financial strategy, ensure robust governance and contribute to the long-term sustainability of a dynamic and values-driven organisation.

Your responsibilities will include :

Oversee all day-to-day financial operations, including cashflow, banking and reporting

Lead the month-end process and produce management accounts with variance analysis

Manage budget planning, forecasting, and financial reporting for senior leadership and Board

Ensure compliance with financial controls, VAT returns, and audit requirements

Line manage the Finance team and support payroll and pension processes

Prepare year-end accounts and liaise with auditors

Develop financial policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency

Support funding applications and reporting, including financial modelling

Oversee insurance, licensing, and legal compliance

Actively contribute to Senior Management meetings and Board reporting

Skills and experience that will benefit your application :

A fully or part-qualified accountant

Experience in a similar roles within Finance functions

Proficient in accounting systems, payroll systems, and advanced Excel

A confident communicator able to engage internal and external stakeholders

Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a leadership team

Demonstrable leadership and managerial experience
