Lead Engineer .NET 8 | Up to £90,000 DOE + Benefits | Manchester (Hybrid, 1x Week Onsite)

Greenfield Project

Were looking for a Lead Engineer to drive the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-native applications using .NET 8 and AWS. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a microservices-driven environment, enjoys mentoring teams, and stays hands-on with development.

Location : Manchester (Hybrid 1x per week onsite)

Type : Permanent

Salary : Up to £90,000 DOE + benefits

Key Responsibilities

Lead a development team, ensuring best practices and technical excellence

Architect and build cloud-native applications using .NET 8, AWS, Docker, and Terraform

Promote and implement CI / CD, TDD, and DevOps methodologies to streamline deployments

Collaborate closely with architects, product managers, and stakeholders to shape technical strategy

Solve complex engineering challenges to enhance performance, resilience, and maintainability

Technical Stack :

Backend : .NET 8, AWS Lambda, ECS, EKS

Databases : SQL / NoSQL (DynamoDB, Aurora, DocumentDB MongoDB experience a bonus)

Event-Driven Systems : Kafka, AWS MSK, EventBridge, SNS / SQS

DevOps & Infrastructure : Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker

Frontend : React

What Were Looking For :

Proven experience leading development teams in an agile environment

Hands-on expertise in .NET 8, AWS, SQL / NoSQL databases, and microservices

Strong knowledge of CI / CD, containerisation, and DevOps tooling

Experience with event-driven architectures and cloud-native systems

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
