Job Title : Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary)

Location : Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Salary : Up to £550 per week Start Date : September 2025

Job Type : Full-time, fixed-term (academic year)

A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Sheffield is seeking passionate and proactive graduates to join as Graduate Teaching Assistants from September 2025 .

This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring teachers or those exploring careers in education, psychology, or youth work to gain valuable, paid experience in a supportive school environment.

What’s on offer :

  • Full-time, long-term Graduate Teaching Assistant role (Mon–Fri, term-time)
  • Earn up to £550 per week

Key responsibilities :

  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Provide academic support to students across KS3 and KS4
  • Work with pupils with additional needs (SEND, EAL, low confidence)
  • Help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Collaborate with staff to track progress and raise attainment

    • Who we’re looking for :

  • A graduate with a 2 : 1 or higher in any subject (priority for English, Maths, Science, Humanities, or MFL)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passionate about education and working with young people
  • Resilient, reliable, and eager to learn
  • UK-based with right to work (visa sponsorship not available)
