Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager (RN) for a service located in Romsey, supporting adults with physical disabilities in a well-regarded residential setting.

In this role, you will assist the Service Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring high standards of nursing and personal care. You will lead and inspire a team of nurses and care staff, ensuring a person-centred, proactive approach to care, and promoting independence for each resident.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Service Manager in managing the nursing home and deputise in their absence.
  • Lead and supervise a team of nurses and care staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and care excellence.
  • Ensure high standards of nursing, clinical, and personal support for individuals with physical disabilities.
  • Promote the independence and choice of service users in line with their care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety management, fulfilling statutory obligations, and ensuring excellent service delivery.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the service to deliver positive outcomes for residents.
  • Work closely with external professionals and partner agencies to ensure the highest level of care.

Ideal Candidate

  • Current NMC Registration as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Proven experience in a clinical or managerial role, with a strong track record of managing a team of nurses and care staff.
  • Experience of providing direct personal and social care, with knowledge of working with people who have physical and / or learning disabilities.
  • A flexible approach to working hours and a positive attitude toward working in a team environment.
  • A passion for promoting choice and independence for people with disabilities.
