We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Manager with a CQC Registered Manager background to oversee the operational delivery and regulatory compliance of a portfolio of supported living services and residential care homes . You will lead, coach, and support a team of Service Managers to deliver person-centered, high-quality care and support in line with CQC standards, organizational values, and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple services, ensuring excellent care quality, compliance, and service user satisfaction.
  • Line-manage and support Service Managers, promoting leadership, accountability, and high performance.
  • Ensure all services meet or exceed CQC regulatory standards , preparing for inspections and leading improvement plans where needed.
  • Monitor and analyze performance, occupancy, safeguarding, incident reports, audits, and action plans across the region.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, commissioners, local authorities, and families to maintain effective communication and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery and care practices.
  • Take lead on recruitment, induction, and professional development of Service Managers and senior staff.
  • Manage regional budgets, resources, and business plans, ensuring financial sustainability and value for money.
  • Support the opening of new services, ensuring timely registration and safe mobilization.

Requirements

Essential :

  • Proven experience as a CQC Registered Manager in supported living or residential care settings.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience managing multiple services or managing managers.
  • In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations , safeguarding , mental capacity , and health & safety legislation .
  • Strong ability to coach, lead, and motivate service managers and frontline teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally.
  • Desirable :

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Experience managing services for people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, or autism.
  • Experience in business development or service commissioning.
