About The Role

Due to on-going growth Argon Engineering (Part of AGZ Group) are currently looking to recruit Mechanical Fitters to work within our subcontract engineering organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicants to join our well-established engineering company.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical Assembly & Fitting :
• Assemble and fit mechanical components and systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Maintenance & Repairs :
• Perform routine and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems, including fault diagnosis and repair.
• Installation of Equipment :
• Install machinery and mechanical systems on-site or at client locations, ensuring alignment and functionality.
• Use of Tools & Machinery :
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery safely and efficiently.
• Reading Technical Drawings :
• Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Quality Control :
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and client requirements.
• Health & Safety Compliance :
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
• Collaboration :
• Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure project deadlines and standards are met.
• Documentation :
• Complete job sheets, maintenance records, and other documentation accurately and on time.
