We’re looking for a commercially-minded and data-driven Digital Trading Manager to lead the online trading function at Russell & Bromley. This is a pivotal role in delivering digital sales growth, optimising the customer journey, and shaping the ecommerce trading strategy across our fast-growing online channels.

Reporting to the Marketing & E-commerce Director and managing one direct report, you’ll work closely with Marketing, PR, Merchandising, and Development teams to forecast revenue, analyse performance, and influence key site enhancements. With a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of digital KPIs, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end online performance — from trade planning and conversion optimisation to product availability and site performance.

About the Role

  • Own the digital sales performance, including forecasting, revenue tracking, profit, and key trading metrics
  • Develop and execute weekly, monthly, and seasonal trading plans in line with EBITDA targets
  • Analyse KPIs including sales, traffic, conversion rate (CR), AOV, and UPT to drive trading optimisation
  • Collaborate with CRM, Performance Marketing, Product and Merchandising teams to identify commercial opportunities
  • Lead trade meetings, delivering insight and forward-looking recommendations
  • Partner with E-commerce and IT / Dev to influence the digital roadmap and prioritise site improvements
  • Support management of the online P&L and deliver against margin objectives
  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve conversion and customer experience
  • Use tools like Google Analytics, ContentSquare, Power BI and D365 to guide data-led decisions
  • Manage, coach, and develop a Trading Assistant to support trading execution and analysis
  • Act as a key cross-functional partner across Ecommerce, Brand Marketing, Retail, and Product

About You

  • Minimum 5+ years in a digital trading role, ideally within a fast-paced fashion or consumer brand
  • Proven experience managing digital KPIs and optimising online sales performance
  • Strong understanding of the ecommerce customer journey and commercial drivers
  • Highly analytical with strong planning, forecasting, and P&L management skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with GA, ContentSquare, Power BI, and D365
  • Excellent cross-functional collaborator and confident stakeholder communicator
  • A proactive, commercially savvy team player who thrives in a results-driven environment
