Job Opportunity : Children’s Social Worker (Initial Response Team)

Location : Newcastle Council

Contract Duration : 13 Months

Hourly Rate : £27.56 LTD or £21.70 PAYE

Are you an experienced and passionate Children’s Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact? Join our dedicated Initial Response Team and be at the forefront of safeguarding and supporting vulnerable children and families in our community.

About the Role As a Children’s Social Worker , you will play a crucial role in assessing and responding to the needs of children and young people at risk. You’ll work alongside a multi-agency team to ensure timely, effective support and interventions are in place, making a real difference in people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and deliver targeted interventions
• Work directly with children, young people, and families to identify their needs
• Develop and implement effective, child-centered support plans
• Collaborate with health, education, and community partners
• Maintain detailed, accurate case records
• Provide compassionate guidance and advocacy for families in crisis
