The Greater Manchester Shared Service (GMSS) is an exciting partnership between Trafford Council and Greater Manchester Police. Our aim is to provide a first class, professional, HR and payroll shared service for around 20,000 employees and customers across both organisations.
We are looking for a HR Systems and Data Support, to join our dynamic Systems and Data Team within the Greater Manchester Shared Service Centre. The role would suit an individual seeking a challenge in a fast paced, high volume, customer focused environment who has a passion for optimising technology to improve the delivery of a payroll, pensions and HR services.
The starting salary for this role is £31,067 pa, in addition you will initially receive 26 days Annual Leave, plus bank holidays, access to a contributory pension where your employer makes a generous contribution, hybrid working and a flexi-time policy which allows you to control your working day. Main Purpose of this role
The HR Systems and Data Team looks after the IT systems which our Human Resource colleagues and their employees use every day.
As well as playing a key role in supporting the delivery of a best-in-class service, the successful applicant will be able to support the full system administration and user support for our core HR system; including systems maintenance and upgrades, interfaces, testing, user security involving managing user access and permissions in accordance with security protocols, and participating in HR projects involving system enhancements or process improvements.
The successful candidate will be a practical problem solver with an eye for continuous improvement, troubleshooting and resolving system issues, escalating as required, and will also be required to support the provision of HR reporting and analytics by generating standard and ad-hoc reports, providing data to customers within information governance protocols, while maintaining a high degree of data integrity by performing regular audits and data cleanses.
In addition to this the System and Data Support will be required to support systems users within the HR Shared Service Centre providing system users with the skills that they require through supporting training, delivery, documentation and query management.
