Job description

Job Title : Disability Support Assistant - SEN School

Location : Greenwich, South East London

Start Date : September 2025

Hours : Monday to Friday, 8 : 45am - 3 : 30pm

Pay Rate : £95 - £115 per day

Contract : Temp to Perm

Remedy Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Assistant to join a welcoming and well-resourced Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Greenwich. This is a full-time role starting in September 2025, ideal for someone with experience supporting children and young people with complex needs in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities :

Providing 1 : 1 and group-based classroom support for students with severe autism and other complex needs

Assisting with wheelchair hoisting and mobility support

Supporting students with personal care , including toileting and hygiene

Managing and de-escalating challenging or harmful behaviours in line with school policies

Working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and external professionals to support student progress and wellbeing

What We're Looking For :

Experience working in a SEN setting or with individuals with disabilities (Essential)

Manual Handling and Hoist Training (or willingness to be trained)

Calm, patient and resilient personality

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Team player with a proactive and empathetic approach
