The role
We are seeking a proactive and commercially focused Digital Trade Manager to execute site trading strategies and drive online performance across and . You will be responsible for the day-to-day trading of the website, ensuring a seamless and engaging customer journey, and working closely with the Digital team to deliver exceptional commercial results. You will play a key role in implementing the broader digital trading strategy and contributing to the achievement of online revenue targets.
What will I be doing
- Lead, own and drive the US / ROW online trading strategy, focusing on optimising site performance, strategy execution, with the customer at the forefront of decision making and driving sales.
- Manage the reporting and forecasting for and ad hoc tasks, as and when required.
- Management and understanding of international markets, including, promotional restrictions and trading laws.
- Proactive approach to understanding and implementing the overarching global strategy, ensuring all local initiatives are aligned. Driving strategic initiatives to optimise sales.
- Monitor daily, and weekly, site and sales performance, providing regular updates and identifying opportunities for improvement and optimisations.
- Compiling accurate daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal reports on trading and KPI performance.
- Participate in weekly trade meetings, presenting trade updates and actions for the region.
- Responsible for weekly, monthly and annual forecasting of online performance for US / ROW
- Alongside the Senior Digital Trading Manager, manage regular performance reviews, including monthly and quarterly meetings, ensuring collaboration across all key stakeholders to capture customer and market insights. Ensure action is taken and incorporated into future forecasts.
- Manage the execution of trading events, setting up promotional tactics, promotional codes, ensuring clear customer journeys and seamless coordination across departments.
- Own the SFCC promotional set up, and the promotional analysis during and on completion of events.
- Implement site merchandising strategies across navigation, category pages, internal search, upsells, and product recommendations to maximise conversion.
- Managing onsite search, ensuring optimal configuration across markets and enhancing the search experience
- Accountable for optimisation of site navigation, customer journey and product placement strategies to drive online improvements to conversion rates and online KPI’s
- Manage the planning and execution of site content and campaigns, ensuring alignment with trading insights and business priorities.
- Manage and develop the Senior Digital Trading Coordinator and Production Assistant, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure effective execution of tasks.
- Collaborate closely with the SEO Manager to support strategies that drive organic traffic and improve online visibility.
- Ownership of delivery and returns communication proposition on site for the region.
- Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including Performance Marketing, CRM, Analytics, and CRO, to ensure a cohesive approach to online trading.
- Develop a strong working relationship with buying and merchandising teams, to influence decision making, to support trading strategies, influence online range plans and drive online full price performance.
- Bring a commercial lens to the CRM email plan, working closely with the CRM team to build an email plan that supports the trading strategy, drives sales and ensures key messages are optimised.
- Work closely with the performance marketing team, to ensure product and trading strategies are supported and aligned with both the trading calendar and the digital marketing strategies for all channels including PPC, Social and affiliates.
- Actively monitor SVS sales, and work closely with, and influence, retail and merchandising teams to reduce the SVS mix of online sales.
- Customer first mindset : ensuring trading initiatives, promotions, customer journeys, campaigns are all actions and executed with the customer at the forefront of decision making.
- Contribute to the analysis of website data to identify trends, customer behaviour, and areas for optimisation.
- Ensure all online activities are aligned with brand guidelines and deliver a consistent customer experience.
What skills do I need?
