Y Queensland is seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our dynamic OSHC team. This is your opportunity to lead and influence best practice in behaviour support, work directly with children and educators, and make a meaningful impact in your community.
About the Role
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will :
- Conduct assessments and develop tailored Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs)
- Provide direct coaching, training, and ongoing support to OSHC teams
- Champion trauma-informed and therapeutic practices in our services
- Work closely with families, educators, and external professionals to support children with complex needs
- Deliver training and contribute to continuous quality improvement
This role offers a mix of strategic influence and hands-on engagement across before / after school care and vacation care programs.
What You Will Bring
Tertiary qualifications in human services, social work, behavioural science, or related fieldProven experience supporting children with complex behaviours and trauma backgroundsKnowledge of therapeutic approaches and trauma-informed practiceExcellent communication, coaching and problem-solving skillsCurrent Blue Card, National Police Check (or willing to obtain)Current First Aid & CPR CertificationValid driver’s licence and ability to travel across service locationsWhy Join the Y?
