Location : Glasgow

Salary : £70,000 - £80,000 depending on experience.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be an integral part of our team, shaping our future strategy, and supporting work on diverse projects that vary in both scale and industry sector.

We typically have a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for upgrades to private wire networks, concept designs for the electrical powers systems for the next generation fusion reactors or marine power systems, through to supporting the district network operators innovate and deliver the energy networks of the future.

The role requires a strong technical project delivery background; with job responsibilities including :

• Technically manage the production, verification, and approval of electrical reports, specifications, and design drawings.
• Provide specialist equipment support, for example, generators, transformers, switchgear, and cables.
• Deliver innovation projects in the transmission and distribution sector, taking new systems and technologies from concept through to delivery.
• Manage project teams to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget.
• Conduct client management to elicit requirements, negotiate contracts / agreements, progress reporting, and risk management.
• Mentor and develop early career electrical engineers.

This role is a great opportunity to develop and utilise your technical leadership, project management and business development skills and can grow as your skills in each of these areas progress. Ideally we are looking for a Glasgow Location, but other UK Offices will be considered

Transmission and Distribution, Industrial and Energy, Nuclear and Fusion, Private Wire Networks / Micro Grids, HVDC, and Energy Storage.

Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
