I'm searching for a highly skilled Bioinformatics Engineer with a strong background in Python, Nextflow pipeline development, and a deep understanding of multi-omics data , particularly single-cell technologies .
This is a hands-on role for someone who can take raw biological data, implement robust QC and transformation pipelines , and help scale bioinformatics infrastructure across omics modalities.
You’ll work closely with computational biologists, data engineers, and downstream modelers to ensure data is cleaned, validated, and analysis-ready , powering foundational research and AI models across the organization.
Your Tasks
- Build and maintain robust, reproducible pipelines to process raw biological data (from FASTQ to cleaned, structured outputs).
- Perform data quality control (QC) across multiple omics modalities.
- Develop and scale cloud-connected workflows using Python and Nextflow.
- Handle data ingestion, transformation, and validation across single-cell, spatial, proteomics, ATAC-seq , and other modalities.
- Connect pipelines to cloud-based storage and compute environments (e.g., AWS S3, Lambda, EC2, Batch) (will collaborate with Data Engineering temas
- Collaborate with data engineers to integrate cleaned data into internal databases and platforms.
- Deliver scalable workflows that support secondary analysis and downstream integration across modalities.
Your profile (essential)
Expert Python programming skills – this is a coding-heavy role.Strong experience with bioinformatics workflow management tools , especially Nextflow .Hands-on experience with single-cell data (e.g., scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq)Experience working with other omics data types : spatial, proteomics, ATAC-seq , bulk RNA-seq, etc.Familiarity with QC tools and metrics for sequencing dataSolid understanding of data formats and bioinformatics file handling.Experience in cloud-based environments (AWS preferred) : ability to pull, process, and serve data in scalable systems.Candidates with experience in Automation and / or LLM s will be preferred.J-18808-Ljbffr
