Job descriptionManaging your own casework, liaising with clients, providing advice over the phone, by email and other mediums Preparing and drafting documents including witness statements and processing evidence Managing a varied general Child Care caseload Attending conferences and undertaking own advocacy at court Business development and marketing to support the work volumes brought in by the firm You will be a Child Care Solicitor with at least 1 + PQE Working knowledge of best practice within Child Care Works ethically and sensitively to support vulnerable individuals through Child Care processes Stays up to date with the latest relevant legislation, policies and changes in the law Ideally have experience of supporting junior colleagues within a small team 26 Days annual leave + Bank Holidays Medicash Health Plan Encouragement of internal progression Opportunity to earn a bonus Hybrid working – 3 days in the office 2 days working from home Flexible working
Care Solicitor – Cambridge or Peterborough office

Job Purpose :
- Providing expertise to parents, grandparents, other family members, interveners and children directly or through their CAFCASS appointed Children’s Guardian
- Ensuring the Child Care team provides a quality, first class service
- Preparing for court such as court bundles and instructing counsel
