Delivery Driver Mate / Driver Assistant

Role :  Drivers Assistant (Self-Employed)

Hours :  Full-Time & Weekends / 6 days per week (Monday to Sunday availability required)

Overview :

We are looking for a reliable, physically fit, and customer-focused Driver’s Assistant / Drivers Mate to support our delivery operations. This role is key to helping us deliver donated goods, furniture, and store stock safely and professionally as part of our charity’s collection and delivery service.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist the driver in  loading and unloading  goods, including furniture and large household items.
• Carry out deliveries  to and from residential & business homes.
• Navigate and guide  the driver on routes and help maintain efficient schedules.
• Ensure all goods are  handled with care  and attention.
• Provide  excellent customer service , including contacting customers before arrival and assisting them with loading / unloading of goods.
• Maintain a  clean and safe working environment  inside and outside the vehicle.
• Assist in  lifting, moving, installing, and placing  items safely with correct manual handling practices
