About the role

You will work within the Control & Instrumentation engineering team to safely deliver control system and PLC modifications and upgrades. Responsibilities include managing plant improvement projects, delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions, and maintaining / upgrading existing control systems and PLCs with the latest security measures against cyber-attacks. This role will challenge your technical, problem-solving, and communication skills and contribute to delivering flexible, renewable energy at Drax Power Station.

This position offers an opportunity to develop expertise in cyber-security improvements aligned with NIS regulations and IEC62443 standards.

Who we’re looking for

You should have at least an HND in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or Software Engineering, along with PLC programming experience. Experience configuring and programming Schneider PLCs, and knowledge of NIS regulation and IEC62443, is desirable. You must be capable of managing projects and delivering critical solutions while being eager to learn. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, along with a commitment to safety and high standards in environmental and housekeeping duties.
