Job description

The SEND Assessments and Review Service have an exciting opportunity available to recruit a Caseworker on a fixed term basis to cover absence.

We are looking for an inspirational, motivated and well-organised individual who has knowledge and relevant experience of working within SEND legislation and procedures and can adapt to working in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should be passionate about supporting the improving outcomes for children and young people in Stockton who have special educational needs. They should have the resilience and tenacity to support and challenge settings to ensure outcomes are achieved.

A caseworker will have the ability to manage conflicting priorities and monitor legal timescales. They should be able to manage and prioritise their own workload and have knowledge of special educational needs practices and have a commitment to learning new skills.

The successful candidate will work alongside the senior caseworker and team manager to ensure statutory duties for children and young people who have special educational needs are met.

This role is part time, 22.5 hours per week and the actual salary for the role is £20,290 - £21,967.

This is a fixed term contract covering absence – the expected duration of the contract is 12 months but will be reviewed periodically with the post holder based on operational needs.
