Hybrid working

Manchester, London and Cheltenham based

Salary up to £95,000

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will be part of a high-performing team working on high-availability platforms in regulated and fast-paced environments. You’ll use your expertise in automation, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices to create secure, efficient, and modern infrastructure solutions that scale with business needs.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and manage robust AWS cloud environments with a focus on automation, security, and scalability
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Implement and manage CI / CD pipelines, enabling rapid and reliable deployments
  • Monitor systems for performance, availability, and security, using observability best practices
  • Collaborate in Agile development teams, contributing to sprints, stand-ups, and continuous delivery cycles
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, delivering fast and sustainable solutions
  • Ensure compliance with industry and organizational security standards, including Zero Trust principles

What Skills & Experience are we looking for?

  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, ideally in secure or regulated environments
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
  • Expertise in CI / CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, and security groups
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions : Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or AWS CloudWatch
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust security models and best practices for securing cloud environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and cloud performance optimization skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in Agile environments
