Hybrid working

Manchester, London and Cheltenham based

Salary up to £95,000

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will be part of a high-performing team working on high-availability platforms in regulated and fast-paced environments. You’ll use your expertise in automation, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices to create secure, efficient, and modern infrastructure solutions that scale with business needs.

Day to Day Responsibilities

Design, build, and manage robust AWS cloud environments with a focus on automation, security, and scalability
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
Implement and manage CI / CD pipelines, enabling rapid and reliable deployments
Monitor systems for performance, availability, and security, using observability best practices
Collaborate in Agile development teams, contributing to sprints, stand-ups, and continuous delivery cycles
Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, delivering fast and sustainable solutions
Ensure compliance with industry and organizational security standards, including Zero Trust principles

What Skills & Experience are we looking for?

Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, ideally in secure or regulated environments

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi

Expertise in CI / CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD

Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell

Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, and security groups

Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions : Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or AWS CloudWatch

Knowledge of Zero Trust security models and best practices for securing cloud environments

Strong troubleshooting and cloud performance optimization skills

Excellent communication and teamwork skills in Agile environments
