Senior Estimator – Tier 1 Main Contractor Glasgow (Hybrid Working Available) £75,000 – £80,000 + Car Allowance + Full Package Sector : New Build Construction (Education, Healthcare, Student Accommodation, Commercial) Permanent | Full-Time The Opportunity Peace Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading Tier 1 main contractor as they expand their pre-construction team. With a strong order book and long-term secured projects across the Central Belt, they’re now looking to appoint a Senior Estimator to join their Glasgow-based team. This contractor is widely respected for delivering high-quality public and private sector builds across Scotland and offers a progressive, supportive environment focused on innovation and career growth. Your Role As Senior Estimator, you’ll lead the preparation of accurate, competitive tenders for multi-million-pound new build projects. You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and supply chain partners—helping shape strategic bids and contributing to the success of major developments. Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage the end-to-end tender process
  • Produce detailed cost plans and pricing from first principles
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
  • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Support strategic bid submissions and framework agreements
  • Mentor and guide junior estimators
  • Work closely with commercial and pre-construction teams What We’re Looking For We’re keen to speak with experienced Estimators or Quantity Surveyors who have a strong commercial focus and a track record of pricing new build projects within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 setting. Ideal Background :
  • Experience delivering estimates on large-scale construction projects
  • Skilled in tendering frameworks, negotiated contracts, and competitive bids
  • Proficient in estimating software (e.g. Conquest, OST)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Degree / HND in Quantity Surveying or Construction (preferred) Why Apply?
