Lead Process Engineer / Process Engineer

We are looking to strengthen our Engineering team with a Lead Process Engineer or Process Engineer based at our Anglian Water Region with hybrid working available.

You will report directly to the Head of Engineering and provide technical direction to discipline engineers in water or water recycling non-infrastructure projects. You will support the design of various schemes, ensuring all designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standards.

As a Process Engineer in our Place Based Thinking team, you’ll collaborate with the project design team to develop process solutions, focusing on optimized plant performance, standard designs, and adherence to @one engineering standards.

Key responsibilities :

• Design wastewater solutions and sewerage systems aligning with Anglian Water’s goals for customer service, environmental protection, and efficiency. Deliverables include :
• Technical schedules and data sheets
• Hydraulic, pump, mass balance, and RICS calculations
• Specifications for engineering subcontracts
• Technical bid analysis in collaboration with supply chain partners
• Oversee process calculations, hydraulics, unit processes, pump and capacity calculations, data sheets, and third-party process equipment bids.
• Communicate effectively across all levels to ensure technical excellence is understood and implemented.
• Proactively escalate issues impacting time, cost, or quality.
• Support health and safety standards, ensuring designs comply with CDM Regulations and industry standards.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless interfaces and share best practices.

To qualify, you should have a degree in wastewater process science or engineering and experience in large-scale wastewater projects. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills are essential, along with excellent IT skills to deliver optimal process engineering solutions.
