Mathematics Teacher

Excell Supply are recruiting for a Maths Teacher with a passion for raising achievement to work in a supportive secondary school in Shrewbury. This unique role blends classroom teaching with targeted intervention , ideal for a teacher who enjoys seeing direct impact.

Responsibilities :

Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils, using engaging, differentiated resources.

Lead small group and 1 : 1 intervention sessions with underperforming students.

Collaborate with the department to develop targeted resources and booster materials.

Analyse pupil data to plan bespoke learning support.

Mark and assess students' work, providing effective feedback and next steps.

Support the integration of new EdTech tools into lessons where appropriate.

Attend parent evenings and contribute to reports when required.

Ideal Candidate :

QTS and relevant degree in Mathematics or related subject.

Experience with GCSE teaching and / or interventions.

Proven record of raising attainment.

Patience, strong communication, and adaptability.

Ability to differentiate and personalise content for diverse learners.
