This lovely setting in Kelvedon is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join their team. You should have a Level 3 qualification in childcare and previous experience in a similar position. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with options for part-time work (2 / 3 days per week, 8am - 6pm). The nursery is conveniently located with excellent train links into Colchester and London.

This charming nursery is housed in a large building with a home-like atmosphere. Each room is welcoming and homely, featuring a beautiful rustic outdoor area. The toddler rooms have free flow access to the outside space, which includes a nature area for the children. The nursery operates from 8am to 6pm year-round, closing only between Christmas and New Year.

You will join a nursery with ambitious plans, where the staff team is stable, happy, and enthusiastic about providing excellent experiences for children. This is a great opportunity for a dedicated, enthusiastic individual who can work well within a growing team. Strong communication skills and a calm, approachable nature are essential.

Responsibilities include :

• Providing stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources suitable for children's age and developmental stage.
• Ensuring compliance with the statutory framework for the EYFS.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, promoting these daily.
• Undertaking duties to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.
• Maintaining professional relationships and reporting concerns to management as per company policy.
• Facilitating a strong key person approach to foster secure attachments and covering for colleagues when absent.
• Attending team meetings to stay updated on priorities, changes, and policy reviews.
