Head of Facilities

The role

Southern Housing are seeking a Head of Facilities. This is an exciting time to be a part of building a newly formed team following merger, where you will be able to get involved in shaping our office asset management process and be part of the team implementing and making changes for the better of the organisation and our residents.

Reporting to the Director of Office & Retail, you will lead responsibility for providing a strategic, advisory and day to day Facilities Management service for all office related activities across Southern Housing.

You will lead on the implementation of strategies, projects and policies which support delivery of both the department's and the organisations' values and objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Provide direction, knowledge and expertise to the FM team on all aspects of effective Facilities Management. Principally motivation and development of the Facilities team through leading by example is key, agreeing clear objectives and consistently monitoring performance to achieve delivery of excellent services.
• Produce and embed high quality, controlled procedures for FM management activities
• To take lead responsibility for the implementation and management of health and safety and compliance within offices. Identify risks affecting FM Managed offices and ensure appropriate action is taken to minimise them. This includes producing and updating Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans. Also ensure risks are adequately identified and mitigated.
• Line managing the Contracts Manager ensuring a high standard of procurement and contract management
• Produce periodic Management Information Reports demonstrating full asset compliance including reporting operational performance on meeting set / agreed SLA targets
• Lead on the management of offices and depots across South East England
