In this role, you’ll play a key part in reviewing and ensuring electrical design deliverables meet high standards and project goals, while providing vital support and leadership to senior electrical engineers. What you’ll be doing :

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers to manage quality, time, and cost throughout the electrical design review process.
• Ensure all electrical deliverables, including LV installations and instrumentation specifications, meet required standards and project specifications.
• Review and verify electrical designs, schematics, cable calculations, and contractor submissions for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide timely responses to construction site design queries and manage change requests effectively.
• Support resource forecasting, recruitment, and performance management of senior electrical engineers within the Business Unit.
• Lead health and safety compliance, including CDM participation and ensuring designs meet all relevant electrical standards and regulations.
• Mentor and develop junior staff, including graduates and apprentices, fostering continuous improvement within the electrical team.
• Drive innovation and transformation by adopting new digital technologies, embedding standard procedures, and supporting sustainable, low-carbon design practices.

What you’ll bring :

An engineering, or equivalent, degree, or be able to demonstrate a degree level of ability through relevant experience.

Experience of water-sector assets and capital projects.

Knowledge of all relevant regulations, standards and codes of practice.

Experience of mentoring and coaching of junior engineers.

Previous experience in a Design & Build environment is highly advantageous, but not essential.
