Solar PV Design Engineer X2 - Home based - Operator

Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take the next step in their career and make a significant impact on one of the world’s leading energy suppliers.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Leading on designs, including shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams, using AutoCAD software.
  • Performing computer simulations of solar PV generation system performance or energy production to optimize efficiency.
  • Reviewing and approving solar PV designs and recommending technical or process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, or performance.

What we need from you :

  • 7-10 years of experience in Solar PV design.
  • Engineering / design skills with a proven track record on various PV schemes, including rooftop and ground mount systems.
  • Strong familiarity with PV manufacturers and components.
  • Detailed design experience in wiring, containment, as-built drawings, scaffolding, and fall arrest / work restraint.
  • Proficiency with standard and advanced PC software tools (MS Office, AutoCAD, PV
  • SOL / PVSyst, modeling software, etc.) with willingness to learn new tools.
  • Substantial knowledge of relevant legislation concerning HSSE, construction, and services installation.
  • Formal training and thorough understanding of CDM responsibilities.
