Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) - Edinburgh - Salary up to £41,500

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivatedMechanical Engineer to join a multi-skilled engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-rounded professional with a strong background in HVAC, fabric maintenance, and general mechanical building services to be based in a large prestigious site based in Edinburgh with occasional travel to smaller sites.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of HVAC systems, mechanical plant, and fabric components
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across hot and cold-water systems, heating, and ventilation infrastructure
• Undertake pipework installation and maintenance, using threading and screwing machines
• Support welding tasks (welding experience preferred but not essential)
• Respond to emergency breakdowns as part of the on-call rota (1 in 5 weeks)
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and site procedures
• Liaise with other trades and contractors to deliver high-quality, efficient service
• Maintain accurate documentation including service reports and inspection records
