Children's Therapy Physical Function Manager

We are very excited to offer a new opportunity in our Stockport Children's Therapy Services (CTS).

We are seeking a Physical Function Manager to work alongside our Communication Managers under the Children's Therapy Services Manager at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.

This role will provide leadership to the occupational therapists, physiotherapists, equipment and adaptations team, and home equipment store staff.

The post holder will also lead governance and risk management for CTS and make decisions for the children's equipment and adaptations team.

Job Summary

The main duties include :

• Providing overarching leadership and supervision for children’s occupational therapy (OT), physiotherapy (PT), children's equipment and adaptations service (CEAS), and children’s home equipment store (HES), ensuring services operate within a balanced system framework.
• Leading and coordinating teams to work in multidisciplinary ways, responsible for efficient service provision across a continuum, and guiding teams through transformations to maintain effective processes.
• Collaborating with other health, education, and social services, and working with primary carers and external agencies to deliver high-quality services.
• Making decisions regarding equipment and adaptation provision across all services.
• Acting as the internal service lead for governance and risk, ensuring policies and record-keeping are up-to-date, and leading on CTS audit plans.
• Deputising for the CTS Manager as required.
