About this Position : We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong experience in designing protection and control cubicles, specifically aligned with National Grid standards. Ideal candidates will have a background in manufacturing, with a focus on low voltage (LV) design and a deep understanding of protection systems. Proficiency with Engineering Base software is essential. Rates : DOE, Hybrid Working - 3 days on-site, 2 days working remotely, 6-month contract with extension after initial 6 months. - Design and develop LV secondary systems for power distribution projects.
- Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and general arrangement (GA) drawings using Engineering Base software.
- Design protection and control cubicles, including transformer, switchgear, marshalling, distribution board, and control panels.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to integrate technical requirements into design specifications.
- Conduct feasibility assessments to ensure efficient and cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, industry standards, and safety regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE, NEMA).
- Produce technical documentation and detailed bills of materials (BOM).
