We are looking to recruit a Energy Manager to work within the Property Department of The Salvation Army, acting as the internal technical lead on all Energy Management related matters.
In addition, you will lead on and develop an estate-wide utility metering strategy, monitoring and targeting program to enhance energy and asset data visibility and reduce energy consumption to support our carbon reduction targets. The post holder will actively identify opportunities for energy reduction and renewable generation measures and projects across the estate and advise internal property teams and stakeholders on energy management best practices.
Key responsibilities :
- Provide technical and practical advice and guidance to the property teams, capital projects team, and internal stakeholders to ensure good energy management practice is embedded and improve energy optimization at local sites and projects.
- Develop and manage a robust energy Monitoring & Targeting (M&T) program across all utility meters and asset data to drive energy reduction and reduce energy waste.
- Provide expert analysis of energy data through an enhanced understanding of the building portfolio and the relative energy consumption profiles. Ability to identify and react quickly to consumption changes within the estate through investigation of data.
- Develop and manage an estate-wide Utility & Asset Metering strategy to enhance data collection and visibility of energy consumption and renewable generation data at site level, and report through a dedicated energy management reporting platform.
To be successful in this role, you will have;
BSc / NVQ Level 7 in Energy Management / Sustainability or equivalent, and professional membership with an accredited organisation such as the Energy Institute, Energy Managers Association, or CIBSEStrong understanding of relevant legislative requirements such as ESOS, Energy Performance of Buildings (EPB), Part L Building Regulations, F Gas Regulations, Climate Change Act.Experience in developing energy project feasibility and business cases and obtaining approval.Strong experience in conducting onsite energy audits of commercial buildings and producing compelling reports.A full UK driving licence (or valid equivalent) and the willingness and ability to travel throughout the territory.J-18808-Ljbffr
