Job description

As Team Coordinator in Newcastle, you will represent Coquet Trust to the people we support, their families, and their wider circles of support, as well as external agencies. As a leader, you will ensure that your team delivers person-centered care, empowering individuals to lead fulfilling, independent lives.

Your role will be key to supporting incredible, unique individuals, helping them thrive while leading and inspiring a dedicated team of Support Workers.

Support Responsibilities :

  • Support individuals in accordance with their person-centered plans , ensuring their needs, goals, and preferences are at the heart of everything you and your team do;
  • Empower individuals to become active members of their community, fostering independence and life skills;
  • Provide hands-on support for daily living activities such as shopping, meal preparation, maintaining their home, and budgeting;
  • Lead your team to promote positive behaviour support and emotional regulation techniques;
  • Safeguard vulnerable individuals by following Coquet Trust’s Safeguarding procedures;
  • Assist individuals in accessing volunteering or employment opportunities where appropriate.

Senior Responsibilities :

  • Act as the first point of contact in the absence of the Support Manager;
  • Lead and inspire your team through effective supervision, clear communication, and role modelling best practices;
  • Oversee the creation of effective staff rotas , ensuring the team meets the needs of the individuals supported;
  • Support the well-being, safety, and development of individuals, ensuring compliance with Coquet Trust’s policies and safeguarding protocols;
  • Supervise, train, and motivate Support Workers, ensuring high standards of care are delivered;
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including support plans, financial records, and health and safety audits .
