Hays are recruiting for an established andmunity-focused housing association in Glasgow. They are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Finance Assistant to join their busy team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a finance background who’s looking to make a real impact in a meaningful sector. This role is a 35-hour working week, with standard working hours being 9am-5pm.
Your new role
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for :
- Accurately bank and post payments to owners’ accounts
- Update the cashbook andplete regular bank reconciliations
- Process telephone payments and maintain clear payment records
- Manage deposit transactions, including refunds andmon charge reconciliations
- Ensure timely invoicing for factored owners and tenants mercial and mid-market rent)
- Perform customer account reconciliations upon tenancy termination
- Make arrears phone calls and support debt collection processes in line with regulations
- Liaise with solicitors and internal departments regarding property sales and ownership change.
