Mechanical Design Engineer

Worldwide market leading multinational engineering company working with clients in the automotive, scientific, pharmaceutical, electronics, oil and gas, and food processing industries is seeking Mechanical Design Engineers to design all aspects of new products.

Location : Milton Keynes

The Role

The role involves reviewing requests for customised pneumatic products from sales to ensure specifications are clear and viable. You will work with designers to create concept designs for customised products, create detailed parts drawings for prototypes, conduct testing, and ensure timely project completion. You will participate in larger projects under supervision, provide technical support to European subsidiaries, visit customers to understand technical requirements, and contribute to market research activities related to pneumatic products.

The Candidate

To be considered, you must have :

• A minimum 2.1 degree in Mechanical Engineering (BENG or MENG) or similar.
• Experience managing projects (including university projects).
• Experience in a design environment and CAD.
• Experience in writing technical reports.
• Ability to work in a multicultural team.
• Willingness to travel to European customers when required.
• Relevant experience.
• PC skills : MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
