Job description

Duration : 12 months, with a high chance of extension

Role Highlights :

Work on new engine products, including validation and launch.
Conduct various engine tests, inspect components, and engage in end-to-end testing.
Participate in infrastructure upgrades, including emissions equipment renewal.

Required Skills :

Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Familiarity with engine test systems like DSG, Cadet, PUMA, and experience in writing test schedules.

Exposure to ECU controller software packages.

Industry Experience :

3+ years of experience with diesel or gas engine test programs.

Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems in genset applications.

Mechanical / electrical experience in diesel engines, including stripping, rebuilding, and a strong automotive / off-highway mechanical background.

Preferred alternative experience : Aerospace background.

Top 3 Hard Skills :

Mechanical / electrical expertise with engines, including stripping and rebuilding.

Experience with instrumentation like thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters, and emission analyzers.

Certifications :

City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in automotive mechanics or higher (IMechE accreditation / HNC / HND / B.Eng.).
