English Teacher (Full-time and Part-time)

Location : Swale

Salary : £120 – £250 per day (Depending on Experience)

Start Date : September 2025

Contract Type : Long-term, Full-time or Part-time (3 or 4 full days)

GSL Education Kent are currently recruiting for two fantastic English Teacher positions at a vibrant secondary school in Swale — one full-time and one part-time (3 or 4 full days per week). As an English Teacher , you will be expected to take full teaching responsibilities including planning, marking, and attending parents' evenings. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that ignite a passion for literature and language.

As an English Teacher, your role will include :

  • Planning and delivering well-structured English lessons to meet a range of learner needs.
  • Marking and assessing student work to monitor progress and provide feedback.
  • Participating in parents’ evenings and departmental meetings.
  • Creating an inclusive classroom environment where every student feels motivated and supported.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and student experience.

To be considered for the English Teacher roles, you must :

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have a degree in English or a related subject.
  • Possess experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4.
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and classroom engagement skills.
  • Be committed to raising achievement and providing exceptional support to students.
