Position : Teaching Assistant

Location : M20, Manchester

Start Date : ASAP

Hours : 8 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM, Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break)

Salary : £13.69 TO £15.87 PER HOUR

Reeson Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the M20 area of Manchester . This full-time, long-term role is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by working closely with Lower Key Stage 2 (LKS2) pupils who need additional support to close learning gaps and build confidence in core subjects.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant :

  • Provide small group interventions and 1 : 1 support for pupils in Years 3 & 4 , helping them progress in English and Maths.
  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored learning activities for children needing extra guidance.
  • Support children with special educational needs (SEN) or those who are struggling to access the curriculum .
  • Help pupils build confidence, develop key skills, and engage positively with their learning .
  • Foster an encouraging and structured learning environment where every child feels supported.

Requirements for the Teaching Assistant :

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting .
  • A passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning .
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff .
  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting children with different needs.
  • Commitment to a full-time, long-term role with the potential for a school contract.
