Mixed Tax Manager - Heaton Mersey, Stockport

Our client is an independent accountancy firm, they seek a Tax Manager to run the tax work for this office. This hands-on role includes :

• Personal, corporate and partnership tax compliance for individuals, OMB’s and partnerships. Includes preparation, review and submission of tax returns.
• Liaison with HMRC about queries and enquiry work.
• Working with the partners on advisory work.
• R&D tax work and other claims such as capital allowances.
• Day to day contact with clients including developing client relationships with regular contact by phone, email and in person.
• Attendance at client pitch meetings with partners.
• Helping manage the department – including billing and budgeting.

This is a friendly team in a small firm which prides itself on its ethical environment and which helps fund a range of charitable initiatives which use their accountancy skills to help those more vulnerable.

Flexible working available – this role is office based but could suit someone working round school pickups or other family or non-work commitments. Applicants with professional qualifications such as ATT, CTA, ACCA or those qualified by experience will also be considered.
